FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and molecular biology and is intended for analysis of genetic material of soil microorganisms in order to study their diversity and when designing genetically engineered producer strains. To achieve the technical result, the soil sample is homogenized by vibration in the presence of grinding bodies in a solution containing guanidine HCl, sodium phosphate buffer, TrisHCl, sodium dodecyl sulphate in amount of 1–4 wt%, sodium lauryl sarcosinate in amount of 2–6 wt%, phenol-chloroform mixture is added, followed by centrifugation and isopropanol DNA deposition. Method provides yield of DNA of order of 10,000 ng per 0.2 g of chernozem.
EFFECT: high output of metagenomic DNA from soil owing to higher efficiency of cell destruction and desorption of biopolymers.
