SUBSTANCE: following is described: a group of inventions including a lysis mixture for isolating DNA from samples of bacteria, fungi, plants, animals and soil, and a method of isolating DNA from samples of bacteria, fungi, plants, animals and soil. Lysis mixture for DNA extraction is a mixture of CTAB buffer containing 2% CTAB, 1.4 M NaCl, 20 mM EDTA, 100 mM Tris-HCl, pH=8.0, with phenol in a volume ratio of 1–1.5:1, respectively.

EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of means for isolating DNA from samples of bacteria, fungi, plants, animals and soil.
