FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in deep processing of coal, in development of oil and gas deposits, in oil refining and in petrochemical industry. When conducting the desulphurisation process using a suspension layer, the desulphuriser is uniformly mixed with water to prepare a desulphurising suspension. Desulfurator has particle size of not more than 20 mcm and is selected from a group consisting of amorphous iron oxide, iron oxide, iron hydroxide or any mixture thereof. Concentration of desulphurisation agent in desulphurating suspension makes 1–5 wt%. Desulphurizing suspension is mixed with a hydrogen sulphide-containing gas to obtain a first mixture which is passed from bottom to top in at least one reactor with a suspension layer. At that, first mix dwell time in reactor with suspension layer is 5–60 minutes. Second mixture is discharged from the top of the reactor with a suspension layer and separated into gas and liquid to obtain a rich solution. Rich solution undergoes single evaporation and then reacts with the oxygen-containing gas for regeneration to obtain a lean solution which is returned to the process as a desulphurating suspension.
EFFECT: invention reduces content of sulfur in a hydrogen sulphide-containing gas, enables to regenerate a desulphuriser.
