METHOD FOR INTRAOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT OF INTESTINAL WALL VIABILITY IN AN EXPERIMENTAL MODEL ON RABBITS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2726928 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery of abdominal organs, and can be used for intraoperative assessment of viability of intestinal wall in experimental model on rabbits. That is ensured by measuring the blood flow velocity by laser Doppler flowmetry. Additionally, indices of tissue concentration of coenzymes of oxidative metabolism of NADH and FAD of the analyzed region are determined by laser fluorescence spectroscopy. Each index is measured on the analyzed and visually viable intestine sections, determining corresponding differences of measured values and comparing with allowable values, assuming allowable difference of values for blood flow velocity of not more than 4.0910 perfusion units, for coenzyme NADH – not more than – 0.3036 relative units modulus, for co-enzyme FAD – not more than 0.0708 relative units, and evaluating intestinal wall as viable with simultaneous presence of allowable difference values of not less than two of three values.

EFFECT: method allows to simplify, individualize and increase informativity of assessment of intestinal wall viability, increase sensitivity and accuracy of measurements.
