METHOD FOR OBJECTIVE INTRAOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT OF INTESTINAL VIABILITY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2746173 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used for intestinal wall tissue compartments control. For this purpose, laser fluorescence spectroscopy is used to record metabolic parameters of the analysed intestinal wall segment - levels of fluorescence amplitude of coenzymes of oxidative metabolism: ANADH and AFAD. Said values are recorded successively on a visually viable intestinal segment. Corresponding differences of the obtained values are determined by three factors: the microcirculation index, the fluorescence amplitude of ANADH and AFAD. It is compared with permissible values of the difference of values for the microcirculation index of not more than 4.0910, for ANADH - not more than −0.3036 modulus, for AFAD - not more than 0.0708. Intestinal wall is considered to be viable with simultaneous presence of allowable difference values of not less than two of the three specified values.

EFFECT: invention allows assessing viability of the intestinal wall, selecting the optimal surgical approach and reducing the number of postoperative complications.
