FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to pathological anatomy and forensic medicine. In order to determine the prescription of the coming of death of a newborn, magnetic resonance imaging of the body of the deceased is performed in standard T1 and T2 modes of pulse sequence recording, in the supine position of the body. The signal intensity of the lenses of the right and left eyes is determined on the resulting T1 and T2-weighted images in the sagittal projection. The average values thereof for both eyes T1av and T2av are calculated, and the prescription of death t is calculated in hours by the formula: t = 11.71 x I - 0.5576 x I2 - 20.36, wherein I = T1av/T2av.
EFFECT: method allows for a quick, objective and non-invasive assessment of the prescription of the coming of death of newborns.
