FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutics, namely to production of microcapsules of furacin. Disclosed is a method of increasing antimicrobial activity of furacin in vitro by dispersing the encapsulated substance in a polymer solution and depositing the polymer on the surface of the dispersion particles. Encapsulated substance used is furacin, as a polymer solution - 1.0 wt. %. solution of sodium alginate in water or 0.5 wt. % of guar gum solution in water or 3.0 wt. % solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone in water or 3.0 wt. % solution of polyvinyl alcohol in water, and the dispersant used is a nonionic solubiliser and an emulsifier Cremophor® EL, taken in amount of 2.0 wt. % from mass of encapsulated substance, which is polyoxyethylated castor oil, deposition is carried out at temperature 3–5 °C by saturated solution of sodium chloride or acetone or ethanol in volume exceeding volume of polymer solution in 1.3 times in case of using polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinylpyrrolidone; 1.2 times in case of sodium alginate solution; 0.6 times in case of using guar gum solution.
EFFECT: invention provides higher antibacterial activity of furacin due to its microencapsulation in water-soluble polymers.
