FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine. A method for increasing the antibacterial activity of silver nanoparticles against Streptococcus pyogenes is disclosed, consisting in the fact that an equal volume of 0.2 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide with an active substance content of 1000 mg /ml is introduced into 0.2 ml of argovit solution with an active substance content of 13 mg/ml, the result of increasing bactericidal activity is determined using the sequential serial dilutions method in 1.6 ml meat-peptone broth with subsequent addition of 0.2 ml 1.5⋅106 CFU/ml of the reference strain of Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615 and Streptococcus pyogenes isolate, isolated from cattle with a clinical manifestation of an infectious disease, followed by incubation for 24 hours at T =37.5±0.5°С.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the bactericidal activity of silver nanoparticles.
