FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a collector composition which contains a monoaminoalkyl ether and to a method of treating ores, such as magnetite ores, with such a collector composition. Composition of collector contains 80–100 wt% of at least one monoaminoalkyl ether, less than 20 wt% of diaminoalkyl ether, of total weight of all amine components, wherein monoaminoalkyl ether contains 60–93 wt% isotridecyl(C13)ether propylamine, 5–30 wt% isododecyl(C12)ether propylamine, 0–10 wt% isoundecyl(C11)ether propylamine, 0–10 wt% isodecyl(C10)ether propylamine, 2–10 wt% tetradecyl(C14)ether propylamine, each with respect to the total weight of monoaminoalkyl ether. Composition is used in a method for processing iron ores, involving a step for froth flotation.
EFFECT: increase in the separation efficiency.
