SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a vacuum cleaner, comprising a housing, a suction motor for generating a suction force, a suction portion communicating with the cleaner body and configured to suck air and dust, a storage battery configured to supply power to a suction motor, a battery control system configured to determine the state of the battery, a charging device configured to supply a charging current to the battery for charging the battery, charging connector detachably connected to the vacuum cleaner housing and configured to supply the mains supply to the vacuum cleaner body, and controller configured to control storage battery charging.
EFFECT: controller includes a current sensor configured to measure current supplied to the battery, the controller attempts to charge the battery, when connector connection for charging is determined, and after attempt to charge storage battery, when accumulator battery is abnormal, battery charging is performed again based on current value measured by current sensor.
