FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray equipment. Cathode matrix is used, which is focused on the local part of the anode target, which consists of n types of materials; the cathodes have m different radii of the tip curvature. This provides possibility of selective supply of voltage to separate cathode from matrix of cathodes by results of calculation of number of generated wavelengths L of X-ray source by formula L = n×m, wherein the number of generated wavelengths L must not be less than the number of layers of the analyzed structure.
EFFECT: technical result is high intensity of X-rays, longer service life of device, wider range of emitted wavelengths, enabling selection of number of wavelengths and shape of X-rays.
