METHOD FOR ASSESSING PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLE INJURIES AND PROBE AND DEVICE FOR METHOD IMPLEMENTING Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/488 A61B1/31 A61B5/53

Abstract RU 2697329 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to devices and methods for assessing pelvic floor muscle injury. Probe is introduced into the rectum. Electric signals of constant amplitude are generated using the generator and are supplied to pelvic membrane muscles by means of supply electrodes (EA1) and (EA2). Signals of electric voltage from muscles of the diaphragm of the pelvis are detected using measuring electrodes (EP1), (EP2)...(EP6). Electric current and voltage signals are analyzed for amplitude values and phase dependencies of their waveform. Electric current signal and electric voltage signals from the pelvic floor muscles make time-varying signals of frequencies in range of 2 to 200 kHz. Measurement probe for assessing pelvic floor muscle injuries comprises a cylindrical main body, two feeding electrodes and measuring electrodes. Measuring electrodes are located on the surface of the probe. Each electrode has electric contact passing in the rear part of the cylindrical housing. Supply electrode (EA1) is located remotely from the front end of the probe. Supply electrode (EA2) is located close to the front end of the probe. Measuring electrodes are located between the supply electrodes. Apparatus for evaluating a pelvic floor muscle injury comprises a measuring probe and an impedance spectrometer for measuring electrical impedance of tissues.

EFFECT: non-invasive accurate assessment of pelvic floor muscle injuries, impedance measurement without electrostimulation of tissues in pelvic diaphragm.
