SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical diagnostics, in particular, for determining the technical condition of the starter and alternator directly on the car. Effect is achieved by the fact that in the method of complex diagnostics of electric cars of automotive equipment, in contrast to the prototype, at the stage of preparation for the output "+" of an additional diode bridge to power the generator voltage regulator, an oscilloscope device with an image memory function is connected, when performing the corresponding operations at the moment of maximum value of the starter armature rotation frequency, the curve is recorded on the oscilloscope device screen and the curve is compared with the reference one for the diagnosed generator and typical oscillograms of malfunctions, a conclusion is made about the state of the generator according to the shape of the fixed curve.

EFFECT: to expand the number of diagnosed elements of automotive equipment, to ensure comprehensive monitoring of the technical condition of the starter and alternator, and to reduce labor intensity when carrying out work on diagnosing electrical machines of automotive technology.
