FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of ceramic molds intended for casting of articles with equiaxial structure used mainly as blades of gas-turbine engines (GTE). Method includes formation on model unit of at least one layer of ceramic coating using suspension containing binder based on silicon-containing substance, modifier based on cobalt-containing substance and refractory filler based on aluminum oxide, forming outer layers of ceramic coating using a suspension based on silicon-containing binder and refractory filler, and sprinkling unit after application of each layer with electrocorundum, wherein silicon-containing binder in water-based silica is used as a silicon-containing binder, and for formation of outer layers, starting from at least a second layer, suspension is used with the following composition, wt%: electrocorundum 37–50; pulverized quartz 20–25; processed quartz 3–5; sol-silicate binder based on water 20–40.
EFFECT: increased durability of the suspension, reduced heat conductivity of the mold, increased compliance thereof, high output of equiaxial casting of long thin-wall blanks of GTE hollow blades.
