PREDICTION OF PREECLAMPSIA BASED ON DETERMINING EXTRACELLULAR FETAL DNA IN MATERNAL BLOOD WHEN SCREENING THE FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/49

Abstract RU 2697845 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to obstetrics, and can be used for prediction of preeclampsia by determining extracellular fetal DNA in maternal blood when screening the first trimester of pregnancy. That is ensured by sampling maternal blood at 11–14 weeks of gestation, determining the content of extracellular pDNA by detecting the hypermethylated portion of the RASSF1A gene, Dopplerometric blood flow analysis in the uterine arteries with determining the average pulsation index. Detection of risk of developing PE by presented model: p=1/(1+e-z), where p is the probability of developing PE, e is a mathematical constant equal to 2.72, z is determined from the binary logistic regression equation of the following form: z=0.143*y1+2.138*y2-7.335, where y1 – concentration of extracellular fetal DNA in 11–14 weeks (GE/ml), y2 – average pulsation index in uterine arteries in 11–14 weeks, with value of p≥0.51 has a high risk of developing preeclampsia.

EFFECT: invention enables prediction of preeclampsia with sensitivity of 90 % and specificity of 90,9 % in women in the first trimester of pregnancy.
