METHOD FOR SOFT TISSUE INFECTION CONTROL IN THIGH-JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2697989 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for control of soft tissue infection in hip replacement. Wound cavity is rinsed with solutions of antiseptics with a system of double drainages separately for supply and removal of the antiseptic. Two red drainages in the form of silicone perforated tubes, one of which is intended for introduction of antiseptics and an ultrasonic radiation source into the wound, and the second one – for evacuation of wound contents, are installed in the wound as close as possible to the endoprosthesis, inside the redon-drainages tubes with perforated ends are placed, which are introduced into the wound through additional incisions-counterparts, the antiseptic supply system is disconnected, the outflow is blocked through the abducting drainage, leaving an antiseptic in the wound cavity, a source of ultrasonic radiation is introduced into the wound cavity for supply of wave oscillations and a cavitation effect is created within 5–7 days of the postoperative period.

EFFECT: method enables providing a minimum surgical lesion of the anatomical structures, reducing the risk of re-operative intervention on the affected joint.
