FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting on molten models and can be used in machine building. Method of bimetallic casting production includes production of wax-like model, obtaining of permanent shell shape on the model, melting of wax-shaped model from mold and pouring of metal. At that, the frame is made with dimensions smaller than the size of the obtained cast from material with a melting point higher than the melting temperature of the casting material. Frame is installed in steel mold, cavity of which corresponds to dimensions and geometry of casting. Wax-shaped model material of 0.1–4 mm fraction is dosed into the mold, which is pressed in vacuum of 80–98 kPa, wherein mold pressing elements are moved at rate of 0.2–2 mm/s, and upon completion of pressing, produced wax-like model with frame is held in closed mold for at least 1 minute.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain bimetallic castings of high dimensional-geometrical precision by casting on molten models.
