FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in the manufacture of an investment casting model. A method for obtaining a removable model of a body of revolution includes a metered supply of a mixture of a powder of a wax-like model composition and water into a mold in the form of a body of revolution and rotation of the said shape about its vertical axis. A mold with an inner radius of at least 3 cm is used, which is rotated at a frequency of 6000-15000 rpm. A mixture of powder of a waxy model composition and water is used with the following ratio of components, wt.%: waxy model composition of fractions of at least 0.4 mm - 95-99, water - 1-5. Under the action of centrifugal force, the particles of the powder of the model composition are compacted on the inner surface of the mold without supplying heat and are forced out onto the outer surface of the model. Water is displaced to the outer surface of the model and creates a layer between the mold and the model, which allows obtaining a model with the required roughness and geometry.
EFFECT: elimination of shrinkage, surface warping and layering of the model is provided, which makes it possible to increase the dimensional and geometric accuracy of castings and the physical and mechanical properties of shell molds.
