SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crimping tongs. Tongs (1), in particular, for crimping cable lugs on electric wires, have two pivoting jaws (2, 3), which are turned relative to each other, at that, in every crimping jaw (2, 3) one crimping die (23, 24) is installed, which is formed along circumference relative to rotation axis (y) by several different crimping grooves (27, 28). Note here that crimping dies (23, 24) irrespective of the position of crimping jaws 2, 3 are permanently connected by means of transfer. Besides, tongs (1) have two pivoting jaws (2, 3), which are turned relative to each other, at that, in each crimping jaw (2, 3) is installed with possibility of rotation along one pressure ring (23, 24) formed along the circle relative to the rotation axis (y) by several different crimping dies (27, 28), at that, dies 23, 24 are locked by geometrical closure in position corresponding to working position of crimping groove 27, 28. Crimping die (23, 24) for exit from the geometrical closure position is configured to move across its axis (y) of rotation.
