FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting and can be used for pouring molten steel into crystallizer. Submerged nozzle has a flattened shape, in which the width Wn of the inner hole is greater than the thickness Tn of the inner hole. Submerged nozzle comprises a protruding section in the central part of the wall surface in the width direction of the flat part of the submerged nozzle, denoted as the central protruding section. Ratio Wp / Wn is ratio of length Wp of central protruding section in direction of width to width Wn of inner hole is equal to 0.2 or more and 0.7 or less, wherein central protruding portion are arranged symmetrically in the form of a pair, and the total length of the pair of central protruding sections in the width direction is 0.15 or more and 0.75 or less of Tn.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a flattened submerged nozzle, which stabilizes the emitted steel flow, and thereby surface of molten steel in the mold, namely, reducing its fluctuations.
