FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to fabrication of sheets from textured electrical steel with chromium-free insulating coating creating tension. Coating is deposited on at least one side of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and contains a phosphate salt, silicon dioxide and a crystalline compound of general formula: MII3MIII4 (XVO4)6, where MII and MIII each independently represents one, or two, or more elements selected from Sc, Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Mg, and XV represents one, or two, or more elements selected from P, V and Mo.
EFFECT: produced sheets have required resistance to moisture absorption and coating tension.
