FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of riveting. Device comprises riveting device, device for its positioning relative to billet, made in form of manipulation robot, and device for control and correction of position of riveting device relative to billet. Proposed device comprises measuring device, first electronic processing means and second electronic control means. Measuring device includes support structure and at least three sensors for noncontact distance measurement. Support structure can be detachably connected to the riveting device in the position, in which the sensors are distributed around the main working axis of the riveting device. First electronic processing means process values measured by sensors. Second electronic control means generate control signal for manipulating robot based on information coming from first electronic means.
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to control and correct the position of the working device relative to the workpiece in order to obtain the required quality of riveting.
