FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molding articles from binding materials and is intended primarily for making flowerpots. Method of making hollow articles from cement mixtures consists in making workpieces in the form of strips from geotextiles, a liquid cement-sand mixture and a thick cement mixture as to composition with cement, sand, microcalcite and fiber. Then, first layer of thick mixture with thickness of 2–4 cm is applied on rubber or silicon mold, then geotextile is dipped into liquid mixture, pressed from geotextile to its wet state and geotextile strip is glued onto layer of thick mixture which is applied on mold. Then next geotextile billets are glued in a similar way so that edges of billets are overlapped relative to each other. Obtained workpieces are held on mold for 45–75 minutes, and then a second layer of thick mixture with thickness of 0.8–1.2 cm is applied on the surface of the geotextile strips. After that, the product is dried under natural conditions for 8–12 hours. After the product dries from the mold, it is released and re-dried under natural conditions for 12–21 days. After drying the surface of the article is primed with a colored primer which is then painted with a paint under the color of the primer, on which a layer of acrylic lacquer is then applied.
EFFECT: high strength of articles and low consumption of materials.
