METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE RISK OF DEVELOPING HYPOTROPHY IN INFANTS BORN IN EARLY PRETERM LABOR, TO A CORRECTED AGE OF 6 MONTHS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2698564 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics and neonatology, and can be used in predicting the risk of developing hypotrophy to the corrected age of 6 months of life. That is ensured by determining the length of body weight recovery (days). Level of uric acid and creatinine is determined when reaching post-conceptual age (PCA) of 38–40 weeks. Presence or absence of severe preeclampsia in pregnancy in a woman is considered. Prognostic index X is calculated by an original calculation formula. If X<-0.5, a low risk of developing hypotrophy in the corrected age of 6 months is stated. If -0.5<X>0.5 – average risk of developing hypotrophy in the corrected age of 6 months. If X>0.5 – high risk of developing hypotrophy in the corrected age of 6 months.

EFFECT: method enables more accurate prediction of development of hypotrophy, which provides the earliest start of preventive measures in the form of infant nutrition correction and metabolic disorders.
