SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is a diagnostic technique for malignant pleural effusion by examining the crystalline facies of the pleural liquid on a slide obtained by wedge-like dehydration, characterized in that the facies are placed under a microscope, through which a series of filming of its fields of view is carried out, obtained digital images are stored in the memory of the PC, which selects frames for analysis, identifies target facies using the trained neural network by analysing filled and empty pixels, their location in the facies and mutual arrangement, calculates percentage of probability of oncopathology, and if more than 80 % is diagnosed, malignant pleural exudate, with less than 80 % probability of oncological pathology, malignant pleurisy is excluded.

EFFECT: invention provides objectification, high efficiency and reliability of the method.
