SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemistry, biotechnology, medicine and chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Disclosed is a polyethylene glycol-containing glycerolipid of formula (1):

where PEG is a chain of polyethylene glycol with molecular weight from 750 Da to 2,000 Da. Also disclosed is a conjugate of said glycerolipid with upconversion nanoparticles of NaYF4:Yb3+:Er3+/NaYF4 or NaYF4:Yb3+:Tm3+/NaYF4, coated with oleic acid residues, and a method of producing such a conjugate, according to which a solution of polyethylene glycol-containing glycerolipid in chloroform is added to a suspension of upconversion nanoparticles in hexane, then the obtained mixture is evaporated to dryness and dried in vacuum for 1–3 hours.
EFFECT: technical result is to expand the range of polyethylene glycol-containing glycerolipids and their conjugates with upconversion nanoparticles, as well as providing biocompatibility and solubilization of hydrophobic upconversion nanoparticles in biological media and increasing circulation time thereof in blood flow.
