FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, as well as to combustion processes for glass melting. Burner (1) for submersion combustion comprises at least one oxidiser supply tube (5, 9), at least one fuel supply pipe (7), a burner head having outer shell (13), wherein pipes (5, 7, 9) for supplying fuel and oxidiser are butt-jointed to burner head, at least two, preferably, at least three outwardly directed nozzles (21), wherein each of nozzles has nozzle outlet (23), wherein nozzles (23) of nozzles are located along perimeter of outer shell (13) of burner head, wherein axis (22) of outlet holes of nozzle is inclined at angle of 5–30° to the horizontal and wherein nozzles (21) used in the burner head are connected to the oxidizer supply pipe (5, 9) and to the fuel supply pipe (7). Burner comprises round burner head. Supply tubes (5, 7, 9) are concentric.
EFFECT: invention allows to ensure flame stability, reduce mixing in a molten bath.
