SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of energy and can be used in devices for melting basalt with the implementation of submerged combustion. The method for submerged combustion of fuel and oxidizer in bubbling-type melting furnaces consists in the separate supply of natural gas and oxidizer in the burner, heating of natural gas from the walls of the hole to the temperature of decomposition into hydrogen and carbon, combustion of the outgoing components, generation of heat during combustion, and the combustion components are heated with the help of the furnace bottom lining, thereby the generated heat is returned to the melting furnace through the furnace bottom perforation, while the outgoing components start burning directly at the burner outlet and continue to burn in the melt, while at the burner outlet a highly efficient fuel is obtained in the form of a soot-hydrogen mixture.
EFFECT: minimization of natural gas consumption.
