FIELD: fodders.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to domestic animal fodder. Domestic animal fodder comprises a pet fodder core, an active layer surrounding the fodder core for domestic animals and an outer layer surrounding the active layer, wherein the outer layer contains fat and/or palatant. Active layer is enriched compared to the fodder for domestic animals with a pro-oxidant mineral substance containing Cu(II) ions. Kernel fodder for domestic animals is a kernel of dry fodder, a kernel of a semi-moist fodder or a core of a product for domestic animals such as care and a treat. Feed core and active layer can have different total concentrations of antioxidant compounds, and/or pet fodder core and active layer can contain different antioxidant compounds and/or identical antioxidant compounds in different concentrations.
EFFECT: invention increases shelf life and improves taste-and-flavour properties.
