SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing alkyl nitrite, which includes: mixing in a preliminary reactor oxygen with circulating gas, mixing in the first esterification column an oxidised circulating gas with an alkyl alcohol solution to form alkyl nitrite, heating a portion of the bottom liquid of the first esterification column in a circulating heater disposed outside the first esterification column and transferring the heated collected bottom liquid of the first esterification column to the first esterification column, mixing in the second esterification column of the second part of the collected bottom liquid of the first esterification column with circulating gas to obtain alkyl nitrite, transfer of the bottom liquid of the second esterification column to the alkyl alcohol recirculation column. Also disclosed is a corresponding production plant equipped with a preliminary reactor, a first esterification column, a circulation heater, a second esterification column and an alkyl alcohol recirculation column.
EFFECT: technical result is an efficient technology of producing alkyl nitrite with high output, low nitrogen losses and low volume of obtained nitric acid.
