FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to controlling an X-ray stream incident on a photon counting detector of a visualization system. Imaging system for medical applications includes a radiation source configured to rotate around a region of investigation and emitting radiation which crosses the examination region, an array of radiation-sensitive pixels configured to detect radiation which crosses the survey region and outputting a signal indicative of the detected radiation, wherein matrix of radiation-sensitive pixels is located opposite to radiation source through investigation area, rigid flow filtration device located in area of investigation between radiation source and sensitive to radiation detector matrix of pixels, wherein the flow filtration device does not rotate together with the radiation source and is configured to filter radiation which crosses the examination region and falls thereon, and wherein radiation coming from the flow filtration device has a predetermined flow, wherein the rigid flow filtering device includes a flow-reducing element which increases or decreases in the region along the z-direction. Visualization method for medical applications is performed by a system.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables to generate an X-ray modulation profile for reducing the X-ray dose for the research object.
