FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle, as well as to a vehicle speed control system and method. Vehicle comprises a power train, a braking system and a controller programmed to reduce the torque at the output shaft of the power train based on the braking comfort parameter, on condition that speed becomes lower than other threshold value. Vehicle speed control method consists in that in response to distance between vehicle and object becoming smaller than first threshold value and to vehicle speed exceeding first preset speed dictated by first threshold value, reduced torque at output shaft of power transmission and in response to distance becoming smaller than second threshold value, and vehicle speed exceeding second preset speed, braking system is actuated to reduce vehicle speed according to specified deceleration.
EFFECT: safe parking manoeuvre is achieved.
