SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method for controlling retransmission on a random access channel (RACH) in a wireless communication network comprises a step of: performing a retransmission on a RACH, wherein retransmission is based on coating class associated with device. Performing retransmission based on the coverage class enables to reduce the number of conflicts during retransmissions when the wireless communication network operates as in the Extended Coverage GSM (EC-GSM) system.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to provide reliable communication for a given class of coating.
