FIELD: medicine; optical system.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Multifocal lens comprises a refraction focal point and a diffraction structure. Diffraction structure in radial direction (r) of lens, applied on square of radius (r2) has a periodic profile. Periodic profile has four adjacent sections, which in places of their connection are not differentiable. First section monotonously decreases, and three other sections increase monotonically or the first section monotonously increases, and three other sections decrease monotonically. Besides, the other section, not adjoining to the specified first section, has a greater inclination, than other two other sites. Two other sections adjacent to first section, applied on square of radius (r2), have inclination of 1 mcm/mm2 up to 10 mcm/mm2, and period (p) of profile, applied on square of radius (r2) is from 0.5 mm2 up to 1 mm2, and depth (T) of the profile is from 2 mcm to 10 mcm.
EFFECT: use of the invention will widen the range of technical means, specifically multifocal lenses.
