SUBSTANCE: group of inventions (embodiments) relates to pharmacology and medicine. Disclosed is use of translocator protein (TSPO) ligand of N-benzyl-N-methyl-1-phenylpyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazine-3-carboxamide (GML-1) as an antidepressant and nootropic agent. Disclosed is use of TSPO ligand of N-butyl-N-methyl-1-phenylpyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazine-3-carboxamide (GML-3) as an antidepressant agent. What is shown is that: GML-1 in chronic introduction in the tail suspension test in mice exhibits an antidepressant effect similar to that of the preparation of amitriptyline, and in the recognition of a new object test counteracts the disturbed working memory in rats induced by scopolamine.
EFFECT: as result, GML-3 compound in both acute and chronic administration in the tail suspension test in mice exhibits an antidepressant effect similar to that of amitriptyline; its antidepressant activity is caused by interaction with TSPO receptor site.
