SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for operation of an electrolytic cell of a plant for producing aluminium by fire electrolysis. Device configured to be mounted on movable module of installation and movement above electrolytic cell comprises support for its mounting on module, hinged manipulator mounted on support, device for gripping at least one cap, made with possibility of connection to first end of manipulator, and device for temporary storage of at least one cap, wherein the storage device mounted on the support is configured to receive at least one cap displaced by the handler provided with the gripping device, and removing at least one cap previously arranged in storage device, manipulator equipped with gripping device. Disclosed are a module for operation of electrolysis unit of an installation for production of aluminium by fire electrolysis, installation for production of aluminium by fire electrolysis and method of electrolysis unit for production of aluminium by fire electrolysis.
EFFECT: providing operational flexibility of the system under very good operating conditions.
