FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a temporary urinary catheter. Catheter has a triangular cross-section with three flat surfaces connected by rounded angles. When viewed in cross section, the length of the curve of which defines the surface between two angles is greater than the chord between the same two angles. Catheter comprises a hole located in one of the surfaces. Catheter is equipped with three holes located at equal distance from tip. Three holes are located so that one hole is located in each of three flat surfaces, when viewed in cross section, the length of curve of which determines surface between two angles is greater than that of chord between the same two angles. Difference in area between three flat surfaces is less than 5 %.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced abrasion of the mucous membrane of the urethra.
