FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method involves daily administration of active substance and cobalt chloride subcutaneously starting from the first day of experiment and can be used in investigating methods for preventing hypertensive action of heavy metals, particularly cobalt, on the functional state of the cardiovascular system. Active ingredient is represented by synthetic salmon calcitonin - a preparation of myacalcinum administered to an animal daily in dose of 0.6 IU/100 g, and cobalt chloride is introduced in dose of 4 mg/kg of body weight.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables to develop a method for reducing the hypertensive effect of cobalt chloride experimentally by reducing the toxic effect of heavy metal, reduction of specific peripheral vascular resistance, recovery of cardiac and percussion indices, improvement of pumping function of heart at introduction of myalcicle.
