FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to clinical and laboratory methods of investigation and can be used for quantitative determination of organic and inorganic hydroperoxides in model systems and biological fluids. Method for separate determination of organic and inorganic hydroperoxides by chemiluminescence involves dispersion of organic hydroperoxides in aqueous media and further addition of 0.25 units/ml of catalase to sample with total content of hydroperoxides, after which level of organic hydroperoxides is determined. Content of hydrogen peroxide is then calculated by subtracting concentration of organic hydroperoxides from total content of hydroperoxides in the mixture. Dispersing organic hydroperoxides in aqueous media is carried out without using alcohols inducing triggering of artifact reactions.

EFFECT: invention provides higher specificity and sensitivity of the method due to preliminary high-specific enzymatic reduction of H2O2 by means of catalase.
