SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling an aerosol generating electrically controlled system. Method of controlling an aerosol generating electrically controlled system includes steps of receiving input from a user, which is a request to adjust a first parameter of the system; comparing input data with range of allowable values of first parameter; providing an authorizing signal indicating that input data are within the range of allowable values of the first parameter; determining the range of allowable values of the second parameter, depending on the first parameter, depending on the input data; and adjusting the first parameter and the range of tolerable values of the second parameter depending on the authorization signal.

EFFECT: technical results of invention are enabling possibility of user adjustment of aspects of system operation, possibility of displaying for user consequences of implemented changes, possibility of providing user with information relating to consequences of requested change, and, as a result, the possibility of increasing the freedom of adjusting parameters of the aerosol generating system without undesirable consequences.
