SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrically driven aerosol-generating systems, such as electrically driven smoking systems, and, in particular, to user interfaces for electrically-actuated aerosol-generating systems. Aerosol generating system comprises a power supply, a controller connected to a power supply and an aerosol generating element connected to the controller, a first sensor connected to the controller and configured to supply a first signal to the controller in response to the first input of the user, wherein the controller responds to the first signal with switching from the off state to the standby state, wherein in standby state controller prevents execution of at least one function of aerosol generating system, however, responds to second user input by supplying second signal to controller, wherein the controller is configured to compare the second signal with the stored data and switch from the standby state to the on state, if the second signal corresponds to the stored data, and in the on state, the controller responds to the user's third input impact with switching to the operating state, in which the controller activates at least one function of the aerosol generating system.
EFFECT: technical result is providing an alternative user interface, which is attractive to the user or can provide greater flexibility or safety for operation of the system.
