FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Engine system comprises mixing channel (18) for engine located outside cylinder inner volume and connected with inner volume of cylinder by first end forming first hole in inner volume of cylinder to produce gases from cylinder inner volume. Mixing channel (18) is additionally connected to the internal volume of the cylinder by the second end forming the second hole in the internal volume of the cylinder for return of gases received from the internal volume of the cylinder through the first hole, back into internal volume of the cylinder. Mixing channel comprises passage (202) for cooled air and passage (220) for fuel spray. Passage (202) for cooled air is connected by first end (236) to inner volume of cylinder and opposite second end (238) - to passage (220) for fuel spray for direction of gases located in combustion chamber (30) from inner volume of cylinder in passage (220) for fuel spray. First end (228) of passage (220) for fuel spray is connected to inner volume of cylinder, and opposite second end (230) of passage (220) for fuel spray is located in front of fuel injector (66) for directing one or more streams of fuel spray from fuel injector (66) and gases from passage (202) for cooled air into cylinder inner volume. Passageway (220) for fuel spray comprises one or several surface elements protruding from inner surfaces of passage walls (220) for fuel spray. Engine operating method and engine are described.
EFFECT: technical result consists in more thorough and uniform mixing of fuel and air and reduced formation of solid particles and/or soot.
