FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing oxygen by adsorption from an atmospheric air flow, comprising using a VPSA apparatus comprising at least one adsorber, wherein each adsorber undergoes one and the same pressure change cycle, comprising the following steps: a) obtaining a first stream of gas, characterized by C1 oxygen content, when loading an atmospheric air stream upstream of the adsorber, b) obtaining a second gas stream characterized by C2 < C1 oxygen content, c) obtaining a third gas stream characterized by oxygen content of C3 < C2 < C1, while simultaneously extracting a nitrogen-rich waste stream, d) eluting the adsorber, from which three gas streams obtained at steps a), b) and c) have been released, by means of exclusively the second gas stream obtained at step b), e) repeatedly increasing the pressure in the adsorber which has been eluted at step d), successively by at least two streams, first and second streams providing a re-pressure, characterized by increasing oxygen content, wherein the first flow providing repeated pressure increase is the third gas flow obtained at step c), and the second flow providing repeated increase of pressure is the second gas flow obtained at stage b).
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing oxygen by VPSA.
