SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passenger transport of underground and railway, in particular, to protective systems preventing people falling from passenger platforms to station tracks. Safety barrier for the passenger platform of the subway and railway comprises an elevating-lowering enclosure installed in the recess of the platform so that its dimensions along the vertical do not exceed the dimensions along the vertical edge of the platform, lifting mechanisms installed along the edges of the lifting-lowering guard, each of which is made of gates fixed on axis and flexible connection, which is connected by one end to the gate, and by the other end to the lug fixed in lower part of lifting-lowering guard. Safety barrier also comprises guide posts installed on sides of hoisting and lowering guard, along which guiding rollers fixed on hoisting-and-lowering guard movement is provided, eccentric movably installed on common axis with each of hoisting mechanisms hoists, stationary enclosures installed between hoisting-and-lowering enclosures.
