FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing wear-resistant coatings on metals using explosive energy and can be used, for example, in production of friction pairs in the form of braking devices. A package with symmetrical arrangement between two identical plates from aluminum alloy of copper plate is made. Explosion welding is performed at preset plate collision rate. Thermal treatment of the welded billet is carried out to produce intermetallic diffusion interlayers between layers of aluminum alloy and copper. Billet is cooled in water solution of table salt with provision of spontaneous separation of layers from aluminum alloy from copper layer along diffusion intermetallic interlayers and formation on plates from aluminum alloy and copper of high-hard wear-resistant coatings consisting of intermetallides of aluminum-copper system.
EFFECT: as a result of one process cycle on two plates from aluminum alloy AMg6 one-sided wear-resistant coatings are obtained, and on copper plate – from its two sides.
