SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles and methods of parking vehicles. Method of parking a vehicle comprises steps of: detecting a target object on a parking space using a camera and moving the vehicle to a parking location based on the angle between the target object and the perpendicular to the field of view of the camera and the distance from the camera to the target object based on the regression analysis, which includes a vector representing the boundary segment of the target object, as an input variable. Vehicle comprises a camera configured to detect a target object in a parking space, and a controller programmed to respond to a camera detecting the presence of a target vehicle movement object to parking space based on vehicle yaw angle and distance to target object, wherein distance is based on regression analysis, which includes vector representing segment of boundary of target object, as input variable.
EFFECT: enabling automated vehicle parking.
