SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machine building. Rotary mower with stalk forage grass stalks comprises bearing bar with rotating discs and knives 4 and beats 4 hinged on discs. Each beater 4 is made of a curved strip of rectangular cross-section and consists of two planes - fastening and working. Horizontal fastening plane comprises fastening hole 5 located on the axis of symmetry of each beat 4 on the side of the rounded end. Working plane of beats 4 is bent relative to fastening plane by angle of up to 30° and comprises on one side deflected chamfer 7 with a blunted working edge 8 for traumatizing stalks of forage grasses, and on the other side forms an upwardly bent blade 9, intended for removal of stems of forage grasses from the cutting zone. Chamfer 7 and blade 9 are located along axis of symmetry of each bent beat 4. Each pair of beats 4 is mounted on each disc diametrically opposite and perpendicular to knives and is hinged to hubs of mower via holes 5 beats 4, bolts 10, spacer sleeves 11, flat washers 12 and Grover washers 13. Diameter of the circle created by unbroken butt ends of beats 4 during rotation of disks does not exceed diameter of circle formed by ends of hinged knives.

EFFECT: rotary mower increases traumatic treatment of stems for drying.
