METHOD OF SELECTIVE ASSEMBLY OF FAIRINGS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B32B7/12 C09J5/02

Abstract RU 2702552 C1

FIELD: aircraft and rocket equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft and rocket equipment and can be used in production of fairings of high-speed aircrafts of various classes with shells from heat-resistant ceramic materials. Method for selective assembly of fairings comprises determining the gap between cowling shell and frame, applying a layer of adhesive on glued surfaces and installation on one of glued surfaces of gaskets from hardened adhesive substance, connection of surfaces and maintenance under pressure until complete drying of adhesive. Prior to assembly of fairing on coordinate measuring machine, circular logs are measured at discrete points in form of radii of outer surface of frame and inner glued surface of fairing shell, gap between them is calculated in these points and selection of pair and frame position relative to fairing shell is performed along optimal value of gap (thickness of adhesive layer) from possible combination of connection points (points of roundness measurement) by scanning of connected pairs. Values of the gaps obtained in this case determine the required thickness of the adhesive layer and the thickness of the gaskets in the places of their installation.

EFFECT: technical result achieved using the invention consists in reduction of defects during assembly of the ceramic shell of the fairing with a metal frame on the beat of the assembled cowling and improvement of its reliability due to selection of the optimum thickness of the adhesive layer.
