FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation and rocket engineering, and can be used in manufacturing complex-shaped ceramic products, such as fairings of high-speed aircraft of various classes. Proposed is a method for connecting a ceramic product with a metal frame, including determining the size of the gap between the adhered surfaces; applying a layer of an adhesive onto the adhered surfaces and installing liners made of a hardened adhesive on one of said surfaces; connecting and holding the surfaces under pressure until the adhesive is fully dried. The connected pairs "ceramic shell – metal frame" are selected with account for the membrane rigidity thereof. For the ceramic shell, the membrane rigidity is calculated using the elasticity modulus of the material of the shell, determined according to the regression dependence "elasticity modulus – ultrasound velocity", prebuilt based on the results of measuring the values of ultrasound velocity in the skirt part of the shell coupled with the frame; wherein the membrane rigidity of the frame should not exceed the corresponding rigidity of the ceramic shell.
EFFECT: increase in the load-bearing capacity and reliability of the article when assembling ceramic fairings due to the optimisation of the selection of the ceramic shells and metal frames connected during the assembly of the fairing, with account for the values of the membrane rigidity thereof.
