FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft and rocket engineering and can be used in making antenna domes for high-speed rockets of various classes. Disclosed is a method of connecting a ceramic article with a metal frame. Proposed method comprises applying layer of adhesive on glued surfaces of ceramic fairing and metal frame and installing at least three gaskets with length of not more than 2/3 of gluing zone length with thickness corresponding to gap between glued surfaces. Gaskets are made from hardened adhesive. Prior to application of adhesive on glued surfaces, metal frame is centered relative to ceramic article and gap between mating surfaces is determined by means of two probes of equal thickness at two diametrically opposite points. Gap is measured at least twice in two mutually perpendicular planes. Then gaskets are selected in accordance with the measured gap. Connected surfaces are held under pressure until complete drying.
EFFECT: reduced rejects by runout, increased tightness and strength of the assembled product.
